Welcome to East Coast Watchmaker, ECW is located in Vestal, NY approximately 3 hours from NYC. ECW was established in 2019 after the owner Peter Molloy, originally from the United Kingdom and moved to the USA, worked on many brands for 20 + years, and decided to open a presence online to offer a better experience without the authorized dealer boutique pricing for services.
At ECW we work with passion to resurrect iconic watches to their factory state so that they can be enjoyed for years to come. We work on all makes and models and we treat each watch like one of our own and each client is treated as one of the family.
At ECW it’s not about the money, it’s about the watch and the lifelong relationships and friendships we have with our clients. We have lost money at times repairing watches, but it’s the passion of the timepiece and helping the client achieve that feeling of happiness and excitement to see their beloved watch repaired and beating again. The best feeling in the world is to see and hear how happy a client is and especially when the watch is very special to them i.e. heirloom, beloved watch from a loving wife or husband.
ECW facility in Upstate New York, uses only the finest tools imported from La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, from our screwdrivers, milling machines, watch part cleaning machines, lathes, lapping machines, oils, and Luminova luminous compounds. The facility can accommodate all of your watchmaking and repair needs.
ECW loves all watches, but the owner’s passion for Seiko made him furious at seeing so many vintage Seiko’s being abused and utterly destroyed with poor workmanship, and aftermarket parts that devalued the watch and its historic character. He made it his goal to find genuine Seiko suppliers throughout the globe for authentic parts for the proper repair of these timepieces at ECW. The majority of replacement parts come right out of Tokyo. Every fixed 6105, 6138, 6139, and 6217, and many more that he can put back into action, put a huge smile on his and his client’s faces.
