I wish to state that i sent my seiko 6105 8110 to Peter of eastcostwatchmaker for a full service and relume using original vintage factory seiko lume and the workmanship was superb. I am totally happy with Peter’s work. Not only is the watch running within the new seiko watch parameters but he replaced parts using original seiko parts ( apart from crystal which is a high grade oem) . He alos replaced all gaskets and he pressure tested the watch and rebuilt the crown so that this watch can be used for DIVING. I have taken it DIVING to depth of 40m underwater and i am totally amazed that it functions perfectly despite warnings dont swim /dive with vintage watches. I have swim with it too. THis watch was pressured tested to 100m by Peter and it performed flawless after replacing the old crown and tube with original seiko vintage parts. THIS IS A 1973 WATCH! Peter was brillant in comunications and sent me video clips of pressure test and timing readings. Originally i wanted to send my watch to Mr Spencer Klein of Spencer Klien vintage a legend in seiko circles but the waiting list is over a year and i am so lucky to have found peter because his work is fantastic. Furthermore the service and relume was done in under a month and a half . I certainly will be sending him more vintage seikos for service, repair or overhaul. My watch is like new now thanks to Peter . I have no hesitation recommending Peter as an honest and very capable watchmaker .

There are very few individuals that will work on vintage Seiko watches. I came across Peter Molloy (East Coast Watchmaker) while searching the internet for servicing and decided to give him a try. I contacted Peter and he responded immediately and we began discussing the servicing process and servicing timelines. I was impressed with his quick turnaround estimate that he gave me. I shipped the watch and he let me know as soon as he received it. He was polite and responded quickly throughout the servicing process, even sending pictures along the way! I received my watch in fantastic condition and am very pleased with the work that Peter does. Thank you so much for restoring my Seiko 6139-6011. Will recommend to all my watch friends and will be sending him more watches in the future.

I am the proud owner of a Seiko 6139 also known as a Pogue Seiko. Mine was not in working condition and in fact had been in a repair shop for 4 years before it was returned to me as un-repairable. I came across Pete at East Coast Watchmaker and reached out to him. He told me he worked on Pogue's regularly and could take care of mine. I sent it to him and was impressed almost immediately. He let me know that he got the watch ok and provided regular email updates of the progress as well as pics along the way. He had to change out a couple of worn parts and installed a new Hardlex acrylic crystal as well as an N.O.S. face as mine was water damaged. Following calibration and testing he sent it back and I was blown away! It works and looks FANTASTIC!! The button stroke action is crisp and the hands re-set perfectly. The inner dial rotates as it should. Buttons and crown are nice and tight. No slack or loose stuff here. I’ve had 2 other Pogues that were restored elsewhere and the quality of the repairs DON’T COME CLOSE! Pete is HONEST! You can TRUST him! I’ll use him again and will recommend him to my fellow watch friends! Thanks again Pete!!

In April of 1974, I received my Seiko 6139-6005 Pogue chronograph from my parents as a birthday gift. I wore that watch daily through my college years and early into my career as a Marine Corps Aviator. In the late 80’s it was set aside a dally wearer in favor of a multi-function quartz watch. The Pogue sat in a drawer for decades until I found Pete at East Coast Watchmakers. I had contacted other watchmakers in the past about restoration only to be told it couldn’t be restored due age and lack of parts. I was pleasantly surprised that Pete could restore it to working order. Pete was able to source the needed parts, clean and service this heirloom time piece to look near new. I will now proudly put this vintage Seiko in the rotation of my other watches in my collection.

Pete, thanks again for bringing this watch back to life. Can’t tell you how meaningful your work is to me.

All the best,

Brian
